How does a bona fide national treasure announce her arrival to Instagram? When you’re Dolly Parton, you do it in style—and get a little help from your friends.
During her appearance on The Voice last night, the Tennessee native posed with hosts Pharrell, Adam Levine and it-couple Gwen Stefani and Blake Shelton.
“Well hello everybody!” wrote the indomitable “I Will Always Love You” singer. “I thought I would kick this off with a bang, so I brought some friends to help out! #HelloDolly.”

Later, the beloved Dollywood creator posed in Shelton’s red swivel chair, quipping, “Is this seat taken @blakeshelton? #comfy.” Parton gained 24,000 followers in her first ten hours on the platform, and counting. Perhaps she’ll swap tips with goddaughter Miley Cyrus the next time they touch base.
Parton has maintained a Twitter presence since 2008, and is prone to sharing photos of her colorful life. Lately, she’s been promoting the adaptation of her song “Coat of Many Colors” as a faith-based TV movie that explores her humble beginnings.
