Dolly Parton might take a page out of Loretta Lynn‘s book and partner up with Jack White. In the meantime, the country icon and the the former White Stripes rocker are dinner companions.
“Well, I love him to death,” Parton says of White. “[The White Stripes] did one of the greatest versions ever of ‘Jolene.’ I had a chance to have dinner with Jack in LA not long ago and we talked about the possibility of someday down the road that we may get together to do something.”
Parton says she’s hasn’t had the time to work with another artist on an album, but thinks White would be “someone wonderful” and that they would make “some beautiful music together.”
