Dolly Parton is being written down in the history books, but not for her music.

Scientists have named a new species of lichen after the country singer.

The lichen, a plantlike organism, that was found is called Japewiella dollypartoniana and is prevalent mainly in the Appalachian Mountains from Maine to Georgia.

According to Castanea Journal, it was collected at Hangover Mountain, one of the highest peaks in the Unicoi Mountains. While the species has been known for several years, it couldn’t be identified until it was found in fruit. This was what two researchers found on their Hangover Mountain summit.
